GREETINGS to my fellow Aux Members,
Spring has sprung FINALLY!! , Elections are being held , the nominations for office held at the last meeting are as follows; President Dan Gregory, Senior Vice Garry Saxton, Junior Vice Matt Gregory, Treasurer Mike Nunno, Chaplin Alex Carlson, Appointed Sargent of Arms Bill Travis , Trustee, Alex Carlson.
I would like to thank the past & present Officers of this Auxiliary for helping me this year in office, especially past Charter President Jim Shea, and past Presidents Tony Papcun and Ken Ruff. They have made it a very smooth road so far, my hat is off to them.
If I am elected again I will do my best to continue the efforts of everyone who helps this post.
The State Convention is in June, let’s make a great showing there to show our support for the post.
Time keeps marching on. The Tenth Annual Poker Run (Ruffs Run) is in July. Please members help is needed for this event, Kenny Ruff works hard to bring this all together every year, we are looking for someone to chair this event next year or this will be the last run. Don’t let this happen.
The Post had a great Saint Patrick’s Day dinner this year, thanks Commander Joe and volunteers.
The Veterans Grave landscaping project at Kings Highway Cemetery is getting under way now that better weather is here. The sign up sheet will be in the Canteen. Men’s Aux tended to about eight Veterans graves last year, please call me if you would like to help with this endeavor. 203 996 7966 Thanks Dan More fund raising ideas are needed to bring in support for the Post, this winter’s plowing was pretty hard on the budget .Please bring your ideas to the meeting and be heard, also you may win in our membership dues raffle if your name is pulled and you’re in attendance!
We are always looking for new members spread the word to friends and family, there is strength in numbers.
Thanks to all the rest of you, who make this the best V.F.W. post there is.
Men’s Auxiliary President
Dan Gregory
